I recently purchased a Craftsman 16 inch scroll saw that can mount both "pin" type or "plain" 5 inch saw blades. I also purchased at Sears a set of 5 inch spiral 360 degree "plain" saw blades. I was hoping to take advantage of their ability to cut in any direction without having to move the work piece (coping a 12 foot base board). I am have not been able to figure out how to successfully clamp the spiral blade in the saw. I either break them by tightening the clamp too much or they pop out. It does not appear to me the blade tension is either too tight or loose. I would use a pin type spiral blade but have not found any. Any advice. Rob Robert F. Howe
